SUMMER HOME is a new design series that transforms dark, dingy and dated vacation homes into relaxing, peaceful retreats. Hosted by designer Karen Sealy, the series captures the fun, humour and emotion of a summer at the family vacation home.
Comfortable in either hardhat or heels, Karen Sealy creates accessible designs and provides tips and tricks for any vacation homeowner. Each episode transports viewers to a unique community to meet vacationers with a dilemma. While they love and appreciate having a summer home, their spaces are often in need of updates in order to accommodate modern needs and designs. And like most people with a second home they are on a tight budget. Karen arrives on the scene with an assortment of clever and frugal solutions for creating functional, practical designs that incorporate kids, pets and multi-generations.
