Canadian distributor Picture Box Distribution Inc. has announced today that the factual series GUINEA PIG will run on Hulu, the US online video service. The series will be available on both the free online service Hulu.com, and on Internet connected TVs, gaming consoles, mobile phones, and set-top boxes through the Hulu Plus subscription service. Produced by Frantic Films in association with Discovery Canada, GUINEA PIG (24 X 30’) is a documentary series that follows professional daredevil Ryan Stock as he risks life and limb as the subject of extreme science experiments. It previously aired on Syfy in the United States.
“We are pleased to see GUINEA PIG land with Hulu”, said Kate Sanagan, Picture Box’s Director of Sales for the Americas and France. “It’s a great opportunity for the series to find another following – this time, online.”
GUINEA PIG brings the very real experiences of a professional daredevil to audiences everywhere. Ryan Stock pushes the limits of human experience - all in the name of science. Whether he is getting shot at with rubber bullets, or coming face-to-face with scorpions and tarantulas, Ryan does things most people would never dream of attempting. The series uses extreme science to explain the world around us and its effect on the human body.
Picture Box has sold the series internationally to Discovery Germany, Discovery UK, Premier in Australia, Turner Latin America, Noga in Israel, Canal Z in French Canada, Viasat in Europe, TV3 in Russia, Nat Geo Italy, and Nat Geo France.
